AWS cloud development

Cloud hosting for your app, website and data, with data centres in India and room to grow when traffic rises.

How we use it

We deploy most production systems on AWS, choosing services to match the product and defining infrastructure as code, so every environment can be rebuilt reliably.

What AWS is, and how we size it for your product

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a cloud platform: instead of buying servers, you rent computing power, storage and databases by the hour and scale up or down as needed. We set up app hosting built on Amazon Web Services, often in its Mumbai or Hyderabad regions. For you, that means your app and data live in professionally run data centres, backups can run automatically and capacity can grow on busy days without buying hardware.

AWS offers everything from simple managed containers to specialised data services, with regions in Mumbai and Hyderabad for workloads that should stay in India. We start simple, typically a containerised app, a managed database, object storage and a CDN, and add pieces only when load or requirements justify them. Budgets, alerts and tagging go in from day one.

Use cases

What we set up on AWS

  • Container hosting

ECS on Fargate for APIs and web apps with rolling deployments.

  • Managed databases

RDS or Aurora PostgreSQL with backups and read replicas.

  • Media and file storage

S3 with CloudFront for images, documents and video.

  • Serverless tasks

Lambda for scheduled jobs, webhooks and file processing.

  • Monitoring and alerts

    CloudWatch metrics, logs and alarms.

Why AWS matters for your app

  • Data kept in India

Mumbai and Hyderabad regions support data locality and low latency for users here.

  • Less server maintenance

Managed services take care of patching, backups and failover.

  • Tight access control

IAM roles give each person and service only the permissions it needs.

  • Room to grow

From one container to multi-region setups, without changing provider.

When we would not recommend AWS

  • Small websites and simple apps: a simpler hosting platform may cost less and be easier to manage.
  • No one to watch the bill: the breadth of AWS is useful, and also a trap: it is easy to build something complex and expensive, so it needs budgets, alerts and a monthly review.
  • Teams already committed to another cloud: if your company runs on Google Cloud or Azure, with credits, contracts or skills in place, we build there instead.

Plain-English glossary

Cloud terms, in plain English

Cloud region
A group of data centres in one area, such as Mumbai. Choosing an Indian region keeps data in India and makes the app faster for users here.
Infrastructure as code
Writing the server setup as files instead of clicking through a console. Any environment can be rebuilt the same way, and every change is reviewed and recorded.
Auto-scaling
Adding servers automatically when traffic rises and removing them when it falls, so you pay for extra capacity only during busy periods.
Managed database
A database the cloud provider runs for you, with backups, updates and failover handled. Your team focuses on the product instead of database upkeep.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do you keep AWS costs under control?

We size resources to actual load, use auto-scaling instead of permanently large servers, and choose storage classes and log retention deliberately. Every resource is tagged by project and environment, budget and anomaly alerts warn you early, and we review the bill monthly in the first months after launch. Savings Plans or reserved capacity come later, once usage is predictable.

Will our data stay in India on AWS?

It can. We deploy databases, storage and backups in the Mumbai or Hyderabad regions and avoid services that replicate data elsewhere unless you approve it. Some third-party tools, such as email, analytics or AI APIs, may process data outside India, so we list every service that touches personal data. Your legal team can then check this against the DPDP Act and any sector rules.

Do we need Kubernetes on AWS?

Usually not at first. Kubernetes on EKS adds power and operational overhead that most startups and business apps do not need. ECS with Fargate runs containers with far less to manage and handles most growth comfortably. Kubernetes becomes worthwhile when you run many services, need portability across clouds or already have a team experienced in operating it.
