Who it's for

IT firms sometimes need extra engineers, a missing skill or better internal tools. We work as a white-label or partner team and build those tools.

Cost depends on
  • Engagement model
  • Seniority and skill mix
  • Process overhead

A development partner for development companies

IT firms bring in a partner when a client needs skills not on the bench, a deadline outruns hiring, or their own timesheets and billing still live in spreadsheets.

We work under your brand or alongside your team, follow your standards and hand over clean, documented code.

Challenges

Pressures IT and software firms face

  1. Skill gaps on the bench

Clients suddenly need Flutter, AI or UI/UX skills you lack.

  2. Legacy modernisation

Old PHP, .NET or desktop apps need re-platforming without disruption.

  3. Utilisation blind spots

No clear view of who is billable, benched or overbooked.

  4. Scattered client reporting

Status, tickets and invoices spread across email.

How we support IT firms

  • White-label delivery

Our engineers work under your brand and process.

  • Modernisation

    Module-by-module migration off legacy stacks.

  • Resource planning

Skills, allocations and bench in one view.

  • Timesheets to invoices

Logged hours flow into GST invoices.

  • Client portal

Tickets, releases and invoices for your customers.

How it works

How a white-label project runs between your firm and our team

Your client sees one team and one point of contact: you.

  1. Your delivery lead

Step 1: You share the requirement

You bring the client's scope, codebase access and standards; confidentiality and non-solicitation terms are signed before any work starts.

  2. Our engineering lead

Step 2: We propose a team

We suggest the skill mix, engagement model (fixed scope, monthly or hourly) and a start date, and you approve the people.

  3. Partner engineers

Step 3: Engineers join your tools

They work in your code repository, ticket tracker and chat channels, follow your process and attend your stand-ups.

  4. Timesheet tool

Step 4: Hours logged against tickets

Time is recorded against tickets and milestones every day, so utilisation and billing are visible to both firms.

  5. Your tech lead

Step 5: Code reviewed and released

Pull requests go through your review, and releases follow your client's change process.

  6. Billing

    Step 6: Invoice and handover

Approved hours become a GST invoice to your firm; at the end, documented code and runbooks are handed over.

Plain-English glossary

Partnering terms, in plain English

White-label development
We build the work and it is delivered under your firm’s name; your client never needs to deal with us. You keep the relationship, the billing and the credit.
Bench
Engineers on your payroll who are between client projects. A partner lets you take on work needing skills your bench lacks, without hiring for a short spike.
Utilisation
The share of an engineer’s available hours billed to clients. Seeing it per person and per week is how IT firms spot overbooked teams and idle capacity early.
Non-solicitation clause
A contract term that stops a partner from approaching your client directly or hiring your staff. It protects the relationship you bring to a white-label arrangement.
Legacy modernisation
Moving an old application, such as a PHP, .NET or desktop system, onto current technology while keeping its data and behaviour. Replacing it module by module keeps users working throughout.

Internal tools we build for IT firms

  • IT company software resource planner allocation table in a web browser, with 5 rows and status labels
Resource planner. Delivery heads see who is billable, overbooked or on the bench over the coming weeks, with their skills, so staffing decisions come before deadlines slip.
  • IT company software timesheet app log time on a phone, with input fields and an action button
Timesheet app. Engineers log hours against tickets from a phone or browser in under a minute, which keeps invoices and utilisation reports accurate.
  • IT company software client portal releases, tickets and invoices on a tablet, with 4 entries
Client portal (your brand). Your clients see release status, tickets, change requests and invoices in one branded portal instead of scattered email threads.

Cost drivers

Partnership cost factors

  1. Engagement model

Fixed scope, monthly engineers or hourly support suit different workloads.

  2. Seniority and skill mix

AI, architecture or senior mobile roles cost more than general web work.

  3. Process overhead

Your client's security, documentation and meeting cadence add time.

Estimates are written from your scope, with the effort and assumptions behind each line item.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can your team work under our brand with our end client?

Yes. In a white-label arrangement our engineers join your channels and tools, follow your coding standards and processes, and can present as part of your team. Commercial terms, confidentiality and non-solicitation are agreed in writing before work starts, and you remain the client’s single point of contact and billing.

How do you approach modernising a legacy application for our client?

We assess what the system does, who depends on it, where the data lives and which parts change most. Rather than one cut-over, we usually replace it module by module, routing traffic to new services as each is ready, so users keep working. Data migrations are rehearsed on copies of production data.

Which engagement model suits overflow work from an IT firm?

Fixed scope suits well-defined pieces, such as a mobile app for an existing API. Monthly dedicated engineers suit ongoing overflow, as they learn your codebase and stay on it. Hourly support fits small maintenance tasks. Many partners start with a fixed-scope project to test the relationship, then move to a monthly team.
