Who it's for

Customers keep vehicles for years, and every vehicle is slightly different. We build software that keeps that vehicle-level detail accurate, from service booking to parts ordering.

Cost depends on
  • Vehicle and parts data
  • Hardware protocols
  • Branch count

How to start

Tell us what you need in your own words. You talk to the developers who would build it and get a written, line-item estimate.

Sales, service and spares across a vehicle's life

Dealers, multi-brand workshops, spare parts distributors and new mobility businesses share one challenge: parts depend on make, model, variant and year, service depends on kilometres and history, and customers expect updates on WhatsApp and payment by UPI. Generic retail or booking software rarely models vehicles properly, so we build systems where the vehicle, not just the customer, is the core record.

Challenges

Where automotive businesses struggle

  1. Workshop visibility

Customers call repeatedly to ask about repair status and estimates.

  2. Parts fitment errors

Wrong parts ordered because catalogues lack reliable make-model-variant mapping.

  3. Dealer network ordering

Retailers order spares by phone, with inconsistent pricing.

  4. Manual reminders

Periodic service and insurance renewal follow-ups handled by hand.

Automotive features we build

  • Service booking and pickup

Slot booking, pickup and drop scheduling, and status updates at each stage.

  • Digital job cards

Inspection photos, online estimate approval, and parts and labour on one card.

  • Fitment-aware parts catalogue

Search by vehicle or part number, with registration lookup through authorised data providers.

  • Used-vehicle listings

Inspection reports, photos, offers and document checklists for resale.

  • EV charging apps

Charger maps, sessions on OCPP-compliant chargers and UPI payments.

How it works

How a car service visit runs, from booking to handover

  1. Customer app

Step 1: Owner books a slot

The owner picks a service, a slot and optional pickup, and the vehicle’s past visits and last odometer reading come up automatically.

  2. Service advisor

    Step 2: Pickup and inspection

The car is picked up or checked in, and the advisor records findings with photos on a digital job card at the vehicle.

  3. Vehicle owner

Step 3: Estimate approved by phone

A line-item estimate goes out by WhatsApp; the owner approves or declines each item, and every approval is timestamped on the job card.

  4. Workshop technician

Step 4: Parts issued, work done

Parts are issued from stock against the job card by part number, and the technician updates progress at each stage.

  5. Cashier

    Step 5: Bill and payment

Parts and labour are billed with GST straight from the job card, and the owner pays by UPI before the car is handed back.

  6. CRM

    Step 6: Next reminder scheduled

The next service, due by date or kilometres, and the insurance renewal are scheduled as reminders without anyone keeping a diary.

Then it starts again at step 1: Owner books a slot

Plain-English glossary

Automotive software terms, explained

Job card
The workshop’s record of one repair visit: complaints, findings, parts, labour and approvals. A digital job card gives the owner and the workshop the same version of what was agreed.
Fitment data
Information on which parts fit which make, model, variant and year. It is what stops a parts catalogue from selling a brake pad that will not fit the customer’s car.
OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol)
An open standard that lets EV chargers from different makers report to, and take commands from, one central management system. Supporting it lets a single driver app work across many charger brands.
Registration number lookup
Fetching a vehicle’s make, model and variant from its number plate through an authorised data provider. It speeds up booking and parts search, but only through a licensed source.

Customer, workshop and parts screens

Sample screens for a multi-brand workshop in Pune; part numbers and prices are illustrative.

  • Automotive software customer app order tracking on a phone, with live status steps
Customer app. Owners follow their car through the workshop and approve extra work from their phone, so the service desk takes far fewer status calls.
  • Automotive software workshop job card cart on a tablet, with 4 items and the order total
Workshop job card. Advisors build the job card with photos, parts and labour on a tablet beside the car, and send the estimate for approval in one tap.
  • Automotive software retailer parts portal catalogue in a web browser
Retailer parts portal. Retailers search by vehicle, variant and year and see only parts that fit, which cuts wrong orders and returns across the dealer network.

Cost drivers

Automotive cost drivers

  1. Vehicle and parts data

Licensing or building fitment data is often the largest non-code effort.

  2. Hardware protocols

Chargers, telematics devices or diagnostic tools each need protocol-level testing.

  3. Branch count

Multi-branch workshops need stock transfers, branch pricing and consolidated reports.

Estimates are written from your scope, with the effort and assumptions behind each line item.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can customers approve repair estimates from their phones?

Yes. After inspection, the service advisor adds findings with photos and a line-item estimate. The customer gets a link by WhatsApp or SMS, approves or declines each item, and the job card updates at once. Extra work found mid-repair follows the same flow, so every approved change carries a timestamp, which reduces disputes when the vehicle is handed back.

Where does vehicle fitment data for a parts catalogue come from?

Usually from one or more of three sources: data licensed from a catalogue provider, data supplied by the brands you distribute, or data your own team builds. Many parts sellers combine them, starting with fast-moving parts. We map each part to make, model, variant and year ranges, and let corrections from sales feed back into the data. Registration-number lookups need an authorised provider.

Can you build an app that works with any EV charger?

Most commercial chargers support OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol), commonly version 1.6 or 2.0.1, which lets one central system start sessions, read meter values and apply tariffs across brands. We build that central management system and the driver app on top of it. Chargers with proprietary protocols need individual integration, so we test each model before committing to a rollout plan.
