Who it's for

Repair businesses live on tickets, spare parts and service contracts. We build ticketing, technician and AMC software for service centres and maintenance contractors.

How to start

Tell us what you need in your own words. You talk to the developers who would build it and get a written, line-item estimate.

Beyond the ticket register

Repair work runs on details: model and serial number, the fault reported, the part replaced, and whether the unit is under warranty or an AMC. When those details live in a register and on technicians' phones, repeat visits multiply and warranty claims bounce.

Good software records every asset, visit and part, so the next technician knows the history.

Challenges

Why repair jobs drag on

  1. Parts missing on first visit

Without van stock visibility, a second visit follows days later.

  2. Slipping AMC visits

Preventive visits get missed when scheduled from memory.

  3. OEM warranty claims

Brands expect job details, photos and part serials in their format.

  4. Status calls

The front desk fields 'when will it be ready?' all day.

What we build for repair teams

  • Asset registry

QR-tagged units linked to service and warranty history.

  • Ticket intake

Phone, web and WhatsApp complaints in one queue.

  • Technician app

Checklists, photos, parts and customer sign-off, offline.

  • Spares tracking

Van stock, transfers and consumption per job.

  • AMC scheduler

Preventive visits generated from contract terms.

How it works

How a service ticket moves from complaint to closure

The unit's history travels with every ticket, so each visit starts from what was done last time.

  1. Customer or front desk

Step 1: Complaint logged against the unit

A fault comes in by phone, web form or WhatsApp. The ticket links to the unit's QR tag or serial number, showing its warranty or AMC status straight away.

  2. Service dashboard

Step 2: Coordinator plans the visit

The coordinator checks the response-time commitment, picks a technician with the right skills and confirms the likely spare part is in their van stock.

  3. Technician app

Step 3: Technician diagnoses on site

Even without signal, the technician follows the checklist, records readings and photos, and logs the part replaced with its serial number.

  4. Technician app

    Step 4: Customer signs off

The customer signs on the phone screen. Chargeable parts and labour are billed on the spot; covered work is marked against the contract.

  5. Service dashboard

    Step 5: Warranty claim prepared

For in-warranty units, job details, photos and part serials are packaged in the brand's format, ready for your team to submit.

  6. AMC scheduler

Step 6: Next preventive visit booked

For contract customers, the next preventive visit is scheduled from the contract terms, and renewals are flagged before expiry.

Then it starts again at step 1: Complaint logged against the unit

Plain-English glossary

Field service terms, in plain English

AMC (annual maintenance contract)
A yearly agreement to service a customer’s equipment, such as lifts, DG sets or office ACs. It sets how many preventive visits are due, how fast you must respond to breakdowns and whether parts are included; the software turns those terms into a schedule.
OEM
Original equipment manufacturer: the brand that made the unit. Authorised service centres claim warranty repairs back from the OEM, which expects job details, photos and part serial numbers in its own format.
Van stock
The spare parts a technician carries in their vehicle. When the system tracks it, the coordinator can send someone who already has the likely part, so the fault is fixed on the first visit.
OCR
Optical character recognition: software that reads printed text from a photo. Here it pulls serial numbers and model details from a label, saving typing and reducing errors in warranty claims.

Screens for technicians, coordinators and customers

  • Repair and maintenance software technician app close job on a phone, with input fields and an action button
Technician app. Technicians close each job with the fault found, part serial, photos and the customer's signature, even without signal; the record syncs when the phone reconnects.
  • Repair and maintenance software service dashboard open tickets by response deadline table in a web browser
Service dashboard. Coordinators see every open ticket against its response deadline and coverage type, so contract breakdowns are handled before a commitment is missed.
  • Repair and maintenance software customer portal order tracking on a phone, with live status steps
Customer portal. Customers check repair status themselves, including when a part is on order from the brand, which answers "when will it be ready?" without a phone call.

Cost drivers

Scope drivers for field service software

  1. Contract types

AMCs with response times and parts coverage add rules.

  2. Inventory depth

Multi-warehouse serial tracking is heavier than van stock.

  3. Brand and ERP links

OEM portal or ERP sync depends on their interfaces.

Estimates are written from your scope, with the effort and assumptions behind each line item.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can the technician app work in basements with no signal?

Yes. The day's jobs download to the phone in advance, and technicians complete checklists, parts, photos and the customer's signature offline; everything syncs on reconnection. If a job is reassigned while a technician is offline, defined rules decide the outcome and the dispatcher is alerted, rather than data being silently overwritten.

How does the software handle AMCs with different service levels?

Each contract stores coverage (labour only or parts included), visit frequency, response-time commitment and covered assets. The system schedules preventive visits, flags breakdown tickets nearing their response deadline and marks billable parts. Before expiry it drafts a renewal quote, with the full service history attached, for your sales team.

Can the system read serial numbers from photos?

It can help. OCR, and where useful an AI document model, pulls the serial number, model and purchase date from a label or invoice photo, and the technician confirms before saving. Accuracy depends on photo quality and label condition, so the confirmation step stays. It saves typing and reduces errors in warranty claims.
