Who it's for

Consultancies build valuable know-how on every engagement, but much of it ends up in decks nobody finds again. We build software that makes that expertise reusable.

Turning consulting know-how into software

Management, IT and strategy consultancies sell expertise, yet delivery often repeats the same steps: a diagnostic questionnaire, a benchmark, a maturity score, a roadmap. Captured in software, that method is delivered consistently by junior teams and used by clients between engagements. Firms come to us for internal tools that make past work findable, and for client-facing products that package their method.

Challenges

Why consulting knowledge is hard to reuse

  1. Past work locked in decks

Proposals and frameworks scattered across shared drives and laptops.

  2. Inconsistent delivery

Each team runs the same diagnostic differently, so results don't compare.

  3. Revenue tied to hours

Partners want recurring revenue from IP but have no product to sell.

  4. Client confidentiality

Reusing insight across clients needs strict rules on what can be shared.

What consulting firms build with us

  • Permission-aware knowledge search

AI search over proposals and deliverables that respects client and practice access.

  • Online assessment tools

Questionnaires with scoring, benchmarks and generated summary reports.

  • Client dashboards

Engagement progress, KPIs and recommendations in one shared view.

  • Productised SaaS

Your framework as a subscription product with multi-tenant accounts and billing.

  • Proposal drafting assistant

First drafts from approved past proposals, always edited by a consultant.

How it works

How a productised diagnostic runs, from invitation to report

  1. Consultant

Step 1: Client workspace set up

The client organisation gets its own workspace, and respondents are invited by email to questionnaires matched to their role.

  2. Client team

    Step 2: Respondents answer online

Managers answer weighted questions in short sections, save partway and attach evidence, instead of filling in a shared spreadsheet.

  3. Scoring engine

Step 3: Scores and benchmarks calculated

Your scoring rules turn answers into maturity scores by area and compare them with anonymised benchmarks from earlier clients.

  4. AI drafting assistant

    Step 4: First-draft report written

A summary is drafted from the scores and your approved content, clearly marked as a draft for a consultant to edit.

  5. Consultant

Step 5: Consultant reviews and signs off

The consultant corrects findings, adds recommendations and approves the report before the client can see it.

  6. Client dashboard

    Step 6: Client tracks progress

Recommendations become tracked actions, and a repeat assessment next quarter shows the client what has improved.

Then it starts again at step 1: Client workspace set up

Plain-English glossary

Consulting software terms, explained

Productised consulting
Packaging a repeatable part of your method, such as a diagnostic or benchmark, as software clients pay for. It earns revenue between engagements instead of only by the hour.
Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
An AI set-up that looks up the most relevant sections of your own proposals and reports, then writes an answer from them with the sources cited. Answers stay grounded in your past work rather than the open internet.
Permission-aware search
Search that follows the same access rules as your files, so a consultant never sees a document they could not already open. It is essential when past work belongs to different clients.
Multi-tenant SaaS
One application serving many client organisations, with every client’s data kept apart from the rest. It is how a single diagnostic product can be sold to dozens of clients without separate installations.

Screens from a consulting product

Illustrative screens with sample scores and questions.

  • Consulting software client assessment operations maturity: section 2 on a phone, with input fields and an action button
Client assessment. Client managers answer the diagnostic online in short sections, so responses are consistent across teams and easy to compare.
  • Consulting software consultant workspace dashboard in a web browser, with key figures and a chart
Consultant workspace. Consultants see scores by area next to anonymised benchmarks, and move straight to the recommendations that matter most.
  • Consulting software internal knowledge search chat in a web browser, with a question and a reply
Internal knowledge search. Consultants search past proposals in plain language and only get answers drawn from files they are already allowed to open.

Cost drivers

Cost drivers for consulting software

  1. Knowledge base size

Large archives of mixed PDFs, decks and spreadsheets need more ingestion and access-control work.

  2. Scoring logic

Weighted, multi-section assessments take longer to specify and test.

  3. Multi-tenant SaaS

Selling to many clients adds tenant isolation, subscriptions and onboarding.

Estimates are written from your scope, with the effort and assumptions behind each line item.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can AI search our past proposals without exposing client data to other teams?

Yes, if permissions are designed in from the start. We build retrieval-augmented search that indexes documents along with their access rules, so consultants only get answers drawn from files they could already open. Client names can be masked for cross-practice use. We use LLM providers whose API terms exclude your data from training, or open models hosted in your cloud when policy requires it.

How do we turn a consulting framework into a SaaS product?

Start with the part clients value between engagements, usually a diagnostic, benchmark or tracker. We model your questions, scoring and recommendations as configurable logic, build a web app with client accounts and reports, and add subscription billing when you are ready to charge. A pilot with a few existing clients typically comes first, so you can refine the scoring before selling widely.

Who owns the IP when you build our assessment tool?

You do. Your methodology, scoring rules and content remain your intellectual property, and the contract assigns the code we write to you on payment. We sign an NDA before you share frameworks in detail. Any open-source libraries are listed with their licences so your legal team can review them, and nothing from your framework is reused in other client work.
