Who it's for

We build insurance distribution and servicing software: multi-insurer quote journeys, POSP and agent apps, renewal engines, policy servicing portals, and claims intake with photo and document capture. Most projects connect to insurer APIs and existing policy administration systems rather than replacing them.

Selling and servicing policies with less paperwork

Insurance in India is sold through many channels — insurer websites, brokers, bancassurance, corporate agents and a large network of point-of-sales persons (POSPs) — and each needs quotes, proposal forms and policy documents from several insurers. After the sale, renewals, endorsements and claims generate a steady flow of documents and follow-ups.

We build software for that distribution and servicing layer. The hard parts are turning different insurer APIs into one quote experience, handling KYC at issuance, and making claims intake quick for someone standing next to a damaged car or waiting in a hospital corridor.

Challenges

Insurance workflows that stall

  1. Inconsistent insurer integrations

Each insurer exposes different quote, proposal and payment APIs, and some steps still need manual portal work.

  2. Renewals slipping through

Missed reminders lose motor and health renewals and leave customers with gaps in cover.

  3. Claims paperwork

Customers send photos, bills and discharge summaries over WhatsApp, and teams re-key them into claim files.

  4. Agent productivity

POSPs juggle leads, quotes and payment links across several apps and spreadsheets.

What we build for insurance distribution

  • Multi-insurer quote engine

Parallel quote calls, normalised plan comparison and add-on selection for motor, health and term products.

  • POSP and agent app

Leads, quote sharing on WhatsApp, payment links, commission statements and certification status.

  • Policy servicing portal

Policy downloads, endorsements, nominee updates and renewal payments by UPI or card.

  • Claims intake

Guided photo and video capture, document checklists, status tracking and hand-offs to TPAs or surveyors.

  • Document extraction

AI-assisted reading of RCs, hospital bills and discharge summaries, verified by a person before submission.

How it works

How a motor policy is quoted, sold and claimed

  1. Website or agent app

Step 1: Customer or POSP asks for a quote

The vehicle number and a few details are entered once, and the quote engine calls several insurers at the same time.

  2. Quote engine

Step 2: Plans compared side by side

Premiums, add-ons and exclusions are laid out in one comparison, using each insurer's own data rather than our summary of it.

  3. Customer

Step 3: Proposal, KYC and payment

The chosen insurer's proposal is filled from saved details, KYC is completed, and the premium is paid by UPI or card.

  4. Servicing portal

Step 4: Policy issued and filed

The policy PDF is saved to the customer's account and the agent's book, and renewal reminders are scheduled automatically.

  5. Customer app

Step 5: Claim reported with photos

Guided capture collects damage photos, RC and licence. AI reads the documents and a person checks the result before submission.

  6. Claims desk

Step 6: File handed to the surveyor or TPA

The complete file goes to the insurer's surveyor or TPA, and the customer sees status updates without phoning anyone.

Plain-English glossary

Insurance distribution terms, explained

POSP
Point of sales person: someone certified to sell simpler insurance products for a broker or insurer. A POSP app puts quotes, payment links and commission records in their pocket.
TPA
Third-party administrator: a firm that processes health claims on behalf of insurers. Sending them complete, well-organised files shortens the wait for the customer.
Endorsement
A change made to a policy after it is issued, such as a new address or an added nominee. Letting customers request endorsements online removes one of the commonest reasons they call.
Insurer API adapter
A small piece of software that translates one insurer's quote and proposal formats into a common one. It is what allows a single screen to compare plans from several insurers.

Screens for customers, POSPs and the claims desk

  • Insurance software customer website catalogue on a phone, showing car insurance quotes with prices
Customer website. Customers compare cover, add-ons and premiums from several insurers on one screen instead of filling in separate forms on each insurer's site.
  • Insurance software POSP app my leads on a phone, with 3 entries
POSP app. POSPs follow every lead from quote to issued policy, share quotes on WhatsApp and see their commission without asking the back office.
  • Insurance software claims desk open motor claims table in a web browser, with 3 rows and status labels
Claims desk. The claims team sees which files are complete, which still need documents, and where each claim stands with the surveyor or TPA.

Cost drivers

What affects insurance software cost

  1. Insurers and product lines

Each insurer-product API needs mapping, testing and upkeep whenever the insurer changes it.

  2. Claims depth

Intake alone is lighter than full workflows with surveyor allocation, approvals and settlement tracking.

  3. Channel mix

Direct customers, POSPs and partner embeds each add roles, commission rules and reports.

Estimates are written from your scope, with the effort and assumptions behind each line item.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can you combine several insurers' APIs in one quote journey?

Yes. We write an adapter per insurer that maps its request and response formats to a common model, then call insurers in parallel with timeouts so one slow API does not hold the page. Premiums, cover, add-ons and exclusions are shown from each insurer's own data. Where an insurer offers no API for a step, we design a hand-off to your operations team rather than scraping portals, which breaks often and can breach terms.

How do you protect health and claim documents?

Claim files contain health information and identity documents, so we treat them as sensitive. Documents sit encrypted in private storage behind short-lived links, access is role-based and logged, and retention follows your policy. Under the DPDP Act, purpose matters, so we record what the customer consented to and limit use to that. If AI extraction is used, identifiers are masked where possible and a reviewer checks output before anything reaches the insurer or TPA.

Do you build tools for POSP onboarding and training?

Yes. A POSP portal usually covers registration with PAN and bank verification, document collection, the training modules and examination your organisation administers, certificate generation, and activation only after approval. The same app then handles leads, quotes and commissions. Training and certification records stay auditable, because distributors must show who was certified to sell and when. Your compliance team sets the rules; we make them enforceable.
